What are the ponchos made of?

Our poncho towels are made from 100% cotton at 500 GSM. Check the product description and the sewn-in label for the details of your item.

What does 500 GSM mean?

GSM means grams per square metre: 500 GSM describes the weight of one square metre of fabric, not the weight of the whole poncho. GSM alone does not determine softness, absorbency or drying time; fibre, weave and care also matter. Read more in The Craft.

How is a poncho towel different from a beach towel?

A poncho towel is worn over the head and covers the body while leaving your hands free. A flat beach towel is spread out or wrapped around you. Choose according to how you want to use it after swimming or while changing.

Sizing & fit

What adult sizes are available?

S/M: height 90 cm, width 70 cm.
L/XL: height 100 cm, width 80 cm.

These are garment dimensions, not body measurements. The cut is relaxed. Compare the dimensions with a garment you already own, and contact us if you are unsure which size to choose.

How do I choose a child’s size?

Children’s sizes are listed as 2–4 years and 4–6 years. Age ranges are a starting point, as children of the same age can differ in height and build. Contact us before ordering if you need help with fit.

Care

How do I wash my poncho?

Our general washing guidance is 30°C. Always follow the sewn-in care label on your item for washing, drying and ironing instructions. Allow the poncho to dry fully before storing it.

Using your poncho

Can I wear it after swimming?

Yes. Wear your poncho after swimming at the beach or pool, or use its relaxed coverage while changing.
